Living in Living in Mueller
Mueller, located in North Austin, just East of I-35, is an up and coming modern neighborhood that is great for young families and professionals. Many of the subdivisions and developments in Mueller focus on being eco-conscious, making this area a unique place to live. Once home to a municipal airport, this hyper-walkable neighborhood is now brimming with restaurants, retail options, and 13 miles of trails.

Attractions in the area include:

Eat – Make a reservation well in advance to try Tsuke Edomae’s 11-course omakase-style dining experience. Chef/owner Michael Che imports his seafood almost exclusively from Tokyo’s famed Toyosu Fish Market. For date night, savor the bucatini, cavatelli, and other house-forged pastas at L’oca d’Oro, which sources ingredients from local purveyors including Steelbow Farm and Eden East. Taking a break from dairy? Order a charcuterie board from Rebel Cheese. The vegan deli makes its plant-based fromage from ingredients like cashew and coconut.

Explore – Stock up on farm-fresh produce and Que Sazon chilaquiles at the Texas Farmers Market every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market has been voted Best Farmers’ Market/Farmstand by the Austin Chronicle for nine years in a row. Youngsters can discover swaying pendulums, spinning discs, and musical wheels at the new Notion of Motion exhibit at the Thinkery, a play-based children’s museum that features an emphasis on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics).

Beautiful Parks – Mueller has many parks, trails, and green spaces to choose from! The biggest park, Lake Park, is a 30-acre park featuring a 6.5-acre lake with an open air amphitheater and stage, picnic peninsula, walking trail, and public art. Looking for parks with sports areas? Check out Ella Wooten Park, Paggi Square, John Gaines Park, and Mary Elizabeth Branch Park for volleyball, Bocce courts, lap pools, basketball courts, and more.
